Pittsburgh is modern, crowded, and beautiful. But it needs to be taken care of by us. Keeping the city clean and green is an individual responsibility for us. The story here is different; it is about volunteering with the Pittsburgh local community, in areas like East Liberty, Shadyside, and Greenfield, to keep the city clean and shiny. Moreover, participating in a downtown and parks cleanup is not a choice; it is a responsibility.

The second part of Pittsburgh’s story is pursuing a master’s degree in environment/sustainability. This is where I connect myself to logic and reason, nature and science.

Story of Faifa

Faifa is a mountain located between the moon and the fog in Saudi Arabia. My project there focused on human–place development through a sustainable and eco-friendly approach.

Villages should be developed in harmony with their natural surroundings, and people should carry this vision forward. Night-Moon is a place where people can feel, touch, smell, and live nature. It is a resort designed from natural elements and built with sustainable materials. The resort utilizes rainwater and solar energy as its main resources. ​

Jeddah is a city by the Red Sea. It is sunny but cool, with friendly and diverse people. I was born in Jeddah and spent my childhood close to the sea, where I met my husband and have a loving family, including my parents, sisters, brothers, nephews, and nieces.

I have started “My Kitchen”, which is an eco-friendly catering brand focused on taste and sustainability by using compostable packaging, reducing food waste for agriculture and livestock, and sourcing local, seasonal ingredients.

New place, new story. In Corvallis, where the life, people, and atmosphere are simple, but filled with love, nature, and beauty. Can we climb a huge tree only to help a cat? This should be how we think about animals. They are part of this ecosystem, part of us.
